What is included on the Volleyball Training?

The volleyball training will be tailored for each group to learn and/or enhance: 

  • Bumping

  • Spiking

  • Bump + Hand Setting

  • Blocking

  • Receiving

  • Defense

  • Offense

  • Game Strategy

 Are we following the Department of Health Advisory?

Yes, we are.  The training is in accordance with the Florida Department of Health Public Advisory (FDHPA).

  • Training is provided to no more than 8 players per court. (Avoiding crowds and gatherings of more than 10 people in accordance with FDHPA)

  • Training is held outdoors.  (Avoiding closed spaces in accordance with FDHPA)

  • Most, if not all, volleyball skills and techniques are performed by the players at least 6 feet apart.  (Avoiding close contact between people and practicing social distancing in accordance with FDHPA)

  • Training equipment is cleaned and sanitized.

  • Players suffering from any Covid-19 symptoms are not allowed to participate.

What to bring?

  • Dri-Fit Shirt and Pants (Highly Recommended)

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Towel

  • Potable Water or Sport Drink

  • A gallon of water to rinse off the sand

  • Light Snack (Fruit or Protein Bar)

  • Face Mask

  • Sunglasses

  • A good attitude to learn and have fun

How to get started?

  1. Let your friends and family know about it.

  2. Decide the best time for the group to train (4:45pm or 6:00pm)

  3. Register and pay online

Days & Times

  • Days:  Tuesdays and Thursdays (occasionally on Saturdays)

  • 2.5 to 3.75 hours / week (10 hours / month)

  • PM Time Waves​

    • 4:45pm to 6:00pm​ - Elementary + Middle School

    • 6:00pm to 7:15pm - High School

  • Cancellations due to weather will be made up on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings or as specified by Nona Sports​
